Australian Bohemian PUBLISHED, Bridal Shoot / by Rachael Warren

Last year I had the pleasure of working alongside some amazing collaborators on a photo shoot I creatively directed and floral styled. We were thrilled when the shoot got featured in Polka Dot Bride in April 2017. Check out the Blog post by clicking on the image above! My inspiration was the stunning, wild Australian landscape. Our location was Hanging Rock in rural Victoria.

Kate and Pete our models, are also a real life couple who wore their own wedding outfits for the day. The details – from Kate’s flower crown and wild bouquet were all inspired by the beautiful Australian setting.

This bohemian bridal shoot was inspired by the Australian bush surrounding Hanging Rock, a sacred and holy place in Australia’s history. The concept for this shoot was to juxtapose the ancient, sharp, precarious rock formations with a young couple celebrating their timeless commitment to each other on their wedding day. The deep, rustic colours of Hanging Rock inspired the Bride’s florals, hair and makeup and contrast stunningly with her light, delicate dress by Melbourne brand Nevenka.
